What is the difference between this workshop and Creative pottery painting?
Yes, you are very welcome to bring your favourite drinks and snacks to enjoy while you paint! Please note that participants must be 18 or older to consume alcoholic beverages during the session.
Yes! This workshop is suitable for participants aged 6 years and older. It's a delightful and artistic activity for families and kids to enjoy together.
Typical acrylic paint dries in just 3 to 5 minutes, but drying time adds up quickly if you layer the paint heavily. To ensure you have enough time to finish and gloss your piece before the end of the session, we recommend keeping paint layers thin and controlled. Once applied, the final gloss sealant takes about 20 to 30 minutes to dry, so please factor this into your time!
Unlike pottery painting, where you paint on pre-fired clay bisqueware that requires glazing and kiln-firing. This workshop is a 3D art and ornament painting experience. You will be painting directly onto our custom hand-cast studio pieces (made from materials like Herculite and eco-resin). Because no kiln firing is needed, you get to gloss-seal your finished masterpiece and take it home with you the very same day!
What should I bring with me?
Everything you need is provided in the studio. However, because your creation is uniquely detailed and delicate, we highly recommend bringing a sturdy tote bag to safely carry your beautiful artwork home at the end of the session.
